ELVIS PRESLEY SANG AMAZING GRACE & HOW GREAT THOU ART
Yeah. You heard me. He did. I myself could not believe it but yes, the king of rock ‘n roll did sing two of my favorite Christian Hymns - Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art.
My wife, Karen, asked me to listen to Chris Tomlin’s version of Amazing Grace because she said that it was really played and sang beautifully. So I did and indeed she was right, the video too was nice. After listening to it, I tried to check on some other versions of the song and guess who I found, it was that of Elvis Presley. So i played it right away and asked my wife if she recognized the voice. Since she also did not recognize the artist, I told her who it was and she was surprised. She really could not believe it. She even wondered if our moms and dads knew about Elvis’ version of Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art. We thought not.
Then a thought came into my mind- how about my own version of two of my favorite songs? hhmmm, we’ll see…
